Emerald City Comic Con & the Live Art Event at Noc Noc

A week before ECCC, I got a message from Ben (Templesmith) about the live art show at Noc Noc and that he and some other great artists would be there and I should check it out. Since Scott had never been to a 'real' comic-con and I have been a wreck without my art shows and peoples, we decided to make a break-neck trip to check it out.

Friday March 4th was the opening day for the Emerald City Comic Convention and I was ready to dive into tables of indy comics and art books. I've been to a few cons and am never disappointed. Every aspect of the event is amusing and I always leave with new friends and heaps of comics and art.

Friday was pretty mellow, crowds were sparse but still lots of interesting 'characters'. The guy in the photo on the left with the blue hair, spectacular!

I'm terrible at remembering names of movies, stars, song titles, anyway, here's a couple of famous chaps blasting the crowd with nerf guns. The guy on the left is Norman Reedus from Boondock Saints and Walking Dead. Also, for those of you who don't know, The Walking Dead is a comic published by Image that started in 2003 and received an Eisner Award in 2010 for the best comic series.

Some sort of strangely awesome dancing banana show?!
