October 8-11th was the One of a Kind Show and Sale on at the Vancouver Convention Center. This show was originally a Toronto based production and moved west for the first time last year.
In it's second year on the west coast, exhibitors are starting to get the hang of this massive event. I heard many comments about the odd timing of this years show or at least that the previous year, held several weeks later, yielded higher numbers of visitors and more importantly, spending visitors. Having an event of this magnitude so far way from any kind of shopping holiday can easily kill the excitement for both crafters and shoppers.
Speaking of crafters, there certainly were a lot of them! I didn't get the numbers on exactly how many participants there were, but it easily took me over 2 hours to got up and down each from from end to end. Tables, walls and racks filled with amazing and unique crafts and artwork.
This show was truly, one of a kind and I did manage to make a Top 7 list for artistic/ original merit.
The first 6 are in no particular order of favorites.

And my most favorite find at the One of a Kind Show and Sale was these belt buckles made from used skate decks. ![wallfarmers[dot]ca](/images/user/large/oneofakind5.jpg)
