Saturday January 31st, 2009 was the launch party/art show for wallfarmers(dot)ca. Events took place at The Freakin Coffeeshop (Tintown), Courtenay, BC. Artists:: Gillian Brooks, Phresha, Max Kauffman, Mark Stuckert, Gareth Gaudin, Morgen Parkin, Gordon Ross and KOADROCK.

One comment that I heard during the night was 'this show is like Viagra for the Comox Valley art community'.  As strange as it sounds, that was a huge compliment to wallfarmers and the artists involved. Big thanks to you all!

Before the show, it was a busy week of preparation. The framing took place in my living room and I took on any help I could get.

Massive thanks goes out to Maya and Sperlin @The Freakin Coffeeshop, Scott, Phresha, Gillian, Gareth, KOADROCK, DJ Gillsans @Architexture, Gordon, Mark, Max, Morgen, Glen, Treska, ABC Printing and all the locals who came to support all the crazy.

Some of the pieces are still up at the cafe for sale and viewing. Wallfarmers merch store will be up very very very soon and prints will be available for purchase online.

YES...Finally formulated a launch party for this site! I pushed back plans of an art show/launch party to build content, cover art shows and do some marketing. Now that the holidays are over, it feels like the perfect time to gather the artists and let them show off their hard work.
