UH OH! Still having issues with some of the images but here are a few from the original post...computers are dumb just come down and see the space.

Early June I took over the two room office space above the barber shoppe, up the road from the bowling alley and Atlas Cafe. All of these things are important because they are rad little nougats of the downtown area and now wallfarmers gets to be a part of that.

Having a gallery space was definitely in the 5 year plan, and though this is not a proper gallery space like Ayden or Windsor, it is perfect for what I need.  The building itself is very old with lots of character and is the only one downtown that has a little garden on top.

The space has two modest sized rooms and a storage/walk-in closet area. The walls on the office side are not especially awesome for hanging art as half is covered in this dope tongue and groove wood planks and the other is this beige-y, hideous, modular-home-wall paneling that kind of scares me a little.

The wood planked walls have these great textured windows letting in light from the second room...

The second room has regular drywall that I've painted stark white and gets a fantastic amount of light from the large window set into a small wood planked wall...just look at the pictures...you'll see what I mean.

Painting mornings before work and evenings afterwork made for retardedly long days and little sleep.  Chief-dog loves the rug action. I'll have him there as often as possible.  I wasn't planning on doing an opening until later in the summer but I had a friend who was moving east with her talented daughter so we put together a little semi-private show with Shandra's work.  The space isn't massive, as I mentioned before, so I was a little leery of going all out with the public invites and with the few individual mentions, the show, 'Goodbye Forest' was well attended and Shandra made a new wallfarmers sticker for the collection!  I'll have an update from Shandra's show next week.  More good stuff happens here too! On a completely irregular schedule, we have artjams..in our own small town kind of way. The big table goes up and the fridge is stocked and talented cats bring their works in progress or new canvases, art supplies and we get down with some not at all serious arting.  Later in the summer I will get a schedule worked out but for now it's pretty spontaneous.  I'll get in the habit of posting it on the site or maybe do a quick email newsletter. For now, I am posting it on the twitter.  Alright, I'm getting irritated by the server so that's all you get for now.  I am still working two other jobs at the moment so hours at the HQ/gallery/artjam space are limited. I'll have some regular hours and an event schedule up in August. For now, things are going to be a little spontaneous but I would love to hear your thoughts on fun things we can do here.  I have some rad things brewing that you'll hear about soon.   We are located at #1-345 6th St...up the exceptionally ugly stairs, and to your right in foyer, humbly decorated like your grandmother's underwear drawer.test
